Case Study: Whole Home Design + Build

This young family had a clear vision: modernize their historic Springfield Township colonial while honoring its original character. The homeowners envisioned an open floor plan for their growing family, anchored by a striking, contemporary kitchen.

After reconfiguring the floorpan, we introduced modern materials and a bold floor to distinguish the kitchen, then matched historical moldings and added grasscloth in the dining room to enhance the original detailing. Playful wallpaper brightens the hallway and a deep blue mudroom maximizes storage. Throughout the space, a recurring palette of walnut and brass serves as a warm, sophisticated thread that unifies new and old spaces.

After seeing how smooth the project was going, our clients decided to add three upstairs bathrooms to the scope. We took it in stride and quickly created three statement spaces that blend with the overall house while each having their own individual identity. Now, this historic stone house is a vibrant, functional home perfectly tailored to the family’s love for bold design.
