Airy Kitchens Artisans: Knife Skills with a Pro

On February 26, join professional chef and recipe developer Sara May for a hands-on knife skills class designed to build confidence, efficiency, and enjoyment in the kitchen. With extensive experience in the Philadelphia restaurant scene, Sara brings a relaxed and encouraging approach to essential techniques you’ll use every day. Tickets include a hands-on demonstration, tastings of each dish we make together, and drinks and snacks served family-style.

Learn proper grip, posture, and cutting methods while preparing Pico de Gallo, Chickpea Waldorf Salad, and Spicy Stir Fry. Sara will also share tips for working safely and efficiently, breaking down produce with ease, and making kitchen prep intuitive. This class is perfect for home cooks of all levels who want to sharpen their skills, feel more comfortable in the kitchen, and enjoy the process as much as the results. Bring your own chef’s knife to practice with your own tool, or use one of the limited knives provided.

Sara May is a veteran of the Philadelphia restaurant scene, where she has worked in both savory and pastry kitchens.
