This renovation of a 1925 Chestnut Hill townhouse began with the homeowners' bold inspiration for color and pattern. During a showroom visit, we selected cabinetry, colors, and hardware before planning various layout options. Our design presentation integrated ready-made cabinetry with custom organizers, appliances, fixtures, and window coverings. In a transitional space off of the kitchen, we fit a baking station, microwave drawer, and Shaker pegs for extra storage.
The homeowners loved our design, but wanted to consider additional finish options. We sourced and rendered new materials and ordered samples of our favorites. After reviewing the renderings and samples in their home, they decided to stick with our original flooring choice and take a risk with a whimsical checkerboard backsplash. Our project managers worked with local craftspeople to ensure every specialty material was installed seamlessly, resulting in a kitchen that is both highly functional and artistically expressive.
